Introduction

In the chapters of this book are the stories of thirty-two people who encountered Jesus in His time. Some of them are young, and some of them are old. Some are rich, and some are poor. Some of them are well documented by the gospel writers; others received just a few lines. But as you read, you will come to know the rest of their story, for just like you and me, they each have a life story to tell.

Yes, my imagination and God's help were required to pick up where the gospel writers left off. I believe, however, that as you read their stories, the people will become more real to you; and just as they met Jesus, you will meet Him too.
